The Newbury Comedy Festival got off to a flying start on Sunday with a selection of comedy street theatre in the Market Place.
A 30ft pink pig created a lot of interest when every 15 minutes a farmhand offered ten people the opportunity to don piglets tails and find out what happening in the belly of the pig.
A battered 2CV literally brought the traffic to a standstill with the antics of 2 Frenchmen on their European tour.
These were just two of the acts which enthralled shoppers and visitors to the town on Sunday afternoon.
