   <description><![CDATA[This is an interesting picture taken in Newbury and mirrored throughout the UK as local men rushed to volunteer for the trenches in the 1914 to 1918 war.<br />The location is Cheap Street and the King Charles easily places the viewpoint.<br />How many of those in the photograph have their name on local war memorials I wonder.]]></description>

There were no ramps in this car park, the floors were built on a continuous gradient.<br /><br />Demolished to make way for the Bus Station in the late eighties.]]></description>
