West Berkshire SPOKES – “Love Your Bike” at the Newbury Farmers Market
West Berkshire SPOKES is pleased to announce that its theme at its Farmers Market stall in Newbury on Sunday 6th February 2011 is “Love Your Bike”, to fit in with nearby Valentine’s Day.
Anyone with a bicycle that needs some tender care will be welcome to come along to the stall and get their bike “seen to” by one of the mechanically trained “Dr Bike” Spokes members.
Alan Lane, Chairman of West Berkshire SPOKES said, “Spokes is keen to help ensure that all bikes on local roads this year are properly roadworthy. We have invested in mechanics training courses for our members and will be pleased to check over any bike that arrives at the stall. If we can we will give it some care there and then, or if too much work is needed will recommend how best to get the bike properly back on the road”.
There will also be a competition with valuable prizes and rewards for the first few new members of West Berkshire SPOKES. We look forward to seeing lots of people with lots of bikes! |
